This role will be employed under Qstrike Innovations Philippines – OPC., and will be reporting directly under the Software Development Manager.
As a Mid-level Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our digital products. Your responsibilities will also include resolving any operational issues that may arise and providing support to our users, clients, and cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are imperative as you will participate in regular interactions, such as daily stand-up meetings, capacity planning sessions, retrospectives, U.S. brand meetings, and similar gatherings. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will have opportunities to mentor and train junior team members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test and implement software solutions that meet project requirements and technical specifications.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise in software development best practices.
- Take ownership of small to medium-sized projects, from refinement to implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Assist in leading and conducting code reviews and code management, ensure adherence to coding standards, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and provide scalable and maintainable software development solutions, considering performance, security, and usability.
- Lead operational support management – troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions promptly.
- Document technical specifications, procedures, and guidelines to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability of software systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into software development and engineering processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are of high quality and align with project goals
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Deliver tasks on time with a focus on quality and performance.
- Regularly update and manage tickets to reflect progress, status changes, and any blockers.
- Communicate project status updates, challenges and potential risks in both verbal and written formats, providing regular reports and presentations..
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Javascript, Php, Laravel, Vue, React, Tailwind, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
This is on a hybrid or WFA ( “work from anywhere” ) work model. Moreover, the willingness to travel to Pampanga from time to time for strategic group collaborations or whenever necessary is a huge plus.
